When I do get along with people, they tend to be males more often than females, but I give girls just as fair a chance. There's only a handful of people I like and get along with, enough to spend a lot of time with and/or keep in my life.

Random spewing of facts: It is a very bad idea to lie to me. Don't tell me you love me, unless you absolutely mean it. I can be complicated, difficult, moody, jealous, and even bitchy. I need someone who can love my negatives just as much as they love my positives, because that's who I am, whether it is for now or forever. There is a difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. The following is a guesstimate: I get along with 8/10 guys. I get along with 3/10 girls. I have made mistakes, but I have morals, which many people today cannot honestly say. I have some pretty old-fashioned thoughts about relationships.

i recently moved back to nw illinois. having been some sort of a vagrant network engineer thanks to spending the majority of my post-college twenties and pre-college teens dicking around living in various corners of the country, renewed appreciation gets reacquainted with old. it feels good to be in this particular corner, as it's always been a good center for me. from any direction, whether it's the frozen nubs of corn just west, the city i've neglected for too long just east, or just good local interstate adventure for some dreary weekend, it's just always felt like my home slash multi-faceted hub. elgin..well elgin works too.

I am straight edge. Meaning I do not participate in drinking alcohol, doing drugs, or smoking cigarettes. I made this choice for myself. I would not dare try and force someone into it because they will not accept it. The decision has to be made on there own. Physical attraction & chemistry aren't everything, but for me they're extremely important. Fortunately, we don't all find the same people attractive. Different ethnicity in dating is not a obstacle for me, if it is for you, then we probably wouldn't get along very well. For me, it's all about that almighty chemistry.

I get manicures & pedicures, & I see nothing wrong with treating myself well. I like my toys, & have worked hard to get & keep them. I enjoy vintage, muscle & sports cars, convertibles, & off-roading in a Jeep. I would rather have a vintage car then a new one. Most days off you'll find me in one of my jogging suits, tho they've never been jogged in, as I'd rather be comfortable then a fashion plate. The more attention I receive from my guy, the more I thrive. Well, maybe that's a not quite right. These is such a thing as too much, but I'd prefer some sort of interaction on a daily basis, even if it's just a couple text messages letting me know he's thinking about me. I'd like someone who can take me seriously, but understand that I'm not always serious. Understand an exaggeration, or at least care enough to ask if I'm serious. I work a 3p to 11p shift with rotating days off that change weekly, so anyone involved with me has to be flexible. In August my schedule will be changing & be in effect at least until the end of the year. I'll be working 11a - 7p. Hopefully this will allow me to have a more normal social life.
